Ontario H2 License Plate Fee.

Hello All You Happy hummers. My Problem /question is my Plate Renewal comes says H2 isRGW03500 and Fee is 174 bucks one year. It's a 2006 and I just paid fee up until now as it was only 10 or 20 bucks more. Is it licensed wrong and can I change it? Thanks lLen.

In Ontario it should only be $90 and $180 for two tears --based on an H1

Off to Lic. Bureau in Essex this morning,Girls there were awesome, wrote letter and changed everything great-now 90 bucks a year instead of 174..

I believe you had it registered as a commercial vehicle.

Being a commercial vehicle, you pay thru the butt. For my chev 3500hd 5900kg rgw ,plates are $266.
Keep them registered as personal vehicles unless you need it commercial.

Exactly, I knew what was wrong but getting someone to change it was problem. Dealer actually screwed up 20 years ago or more on one of Broncos I bought ,.Plate cost was same then so I left it [personal might have been more than farm or commercial. All good now.

wow, that is good to know.. I believe as commercial there are more inspections you need to comply with also..

All that was necessary was to write a letter saying 5 passenger seats and belts and personal use. You can write it no need to witness or notarize. On phone with Gov'n and at first license bureau they said Oh, here it is in information it's too heavy 3500 plus kg GVW and I said but friends have it and weight doesn't count for personal use and Then it was okay. Thanks for your help.
