On cold days like we have been having, I am very happy to have a block heater that works.. I do not think my truck would start without, since I park it outside..also looking at changing up engine oil to synthetic to try and make an easier start.. any other tricks you guys use to keep it starting in the morning?

Last year I had a oil pan heater, onboard marine battery charger, and synthetic oil. And she never left me stranded. especially on this one cold -35day when it wasn't plug into the wall at work. I cycled the plugs a second time, and she started up right away. But was definitely cranky, but there was some combustion going on in a few cylinders; for a few minutes.
This year its parked for the winter. I just cant let the salt chew away at it. But if we have a big snow fall and the plows haven't been by yet, all bets are off, and im going for a romp.
With it off the road though, I can tackle the one thing that ive been wanting to do since I bought the truck.. Refinishing the rims to better then factory

Ive got 3 stages of aluminum polishes, the matching 10th anv inlay paint like the original, and a really good clear coat protectant coating kit. Should be fun
