Gauging interest

All,
I am gauging the interest here in participating in an event I am planning. One of my other interests, and a part of my business, is running airsoft Military Simulation events at venues in Ontario. Currently I am looking at renting a training area on CFB Borden for a weekend to hold an event. One of the things I would like to do, to add more realism to the event, is to have vehicles on site and moving around the training area. The area I am looking at has trails through it that the CF use for training and off road areas as well. I will also stress that the vehicles will be kept outside of the active "combat" areas to prevent damage, but what we would like is to use them on the perimeter and other areas as "supply convoys" and other tasks. During the time that we would not have any tasking needs you can go out and have fun on the training area not in use. The vehicles would also have most of Sunday available as well to do some playing around the site once the game concludes. I have used my H3 in this capacity, have a cool video of 6 guys riding on my rock rails and delivering them to their command post somewhere.
What I would like to know is if anyone would be interested. Let me know and I will advise as we move through the planning process.
Cheers,
Jim

Excellent guys! Yeah Serge they wouldn't take kindly to real firearms, even if it would add another bit of realism to my event LOL! Our airsoft weapons are very realistic. I will keep everyone informed as I get the details hammered out with the base and my group organizing the event.
Cheers,
Jim

Hoping so! Be fun to have access to the site and I know that the Milsim guys will really like having Hummers running around. Realism is important!

Would be interesting +2 , That would be great, Will wait for more info.
Do we have to be geared or we can gear-up on site, what equipment is needed. Will this be like a real simulation, like at the paintball. Building clearing, terrorist searching, hostage release etc. My son is already drooling as he is a real Paintball addict.

Good questions! If you have tac gear and want to wear it that would be great!! This event is VERY realistic. The airsoft weapons are 1:1 replicas of real military weapons and fire 6mm bb's and the players will be outfitted in real tac gear. As we are using a "woods" training area there won't be any room clearing etc., but there will be realistic props in the field (radar station, SAM site, fuel and ammo dumps, Command Posts with bunkers) so there will be a lot of objectives for the players to "fight" over. My first task for the Hummers will be to assist in transporting forces to CP's and other areas, but as the day, and night, go on there will be other supply missions etc. that you will get to take part in. The biggest thing I will have to make sure of is that the vehicles will not be directly involved in the combat portion of the Op. Even though one wouldn't think that a small 6mm bb could do a lot of damage I have seen them take out windshields etc. on military H-1's. I want to ensure that this doesn't happen here! There are a lot of things I can make sure happen to prevent damage and I will make those steps.
Cheers,
Jim

TAC Gear is fine that we can bring,, the question about do we have to be geared or gear up on site was more about the air-soft weaponry, Here in Quebec paintball is popular but there were so many restrictions on air-soft guns, they had to be clear plastic, red tip or other kind of restriction, i don't know about Ontario,
So, many went to paint ball because of the fact that the guns were metal, and feel more like real one than light clear plastic one.
Will you be supplying the weaponry ? My son wanted an MP-5 for years and couldnt get it in quebec.
I still think it would be a great experience, and returning to Borden oufff that will bring back lots of memories. Been there 32yrs ago im sure it has changed a LOT
Thx Jim for the extra info .
