Hello all,
 
I purchased a bunch of o-rings for my 12 bolt rims ant they are too big. I have the older style rims 'without' the extra alignment hole. I didn't think they were different but they are. O-rings for all these wheels are such a drama.
 
I have test fit these o-rings in a newer style 12 bolt rim with the extra alignment hole, they are the proper diameter for these rims and have a cross section of 0.250 inch.
Below is a picture of the cross section of the o-ring that came out of the rim. I recommend some sort of lube on these o-rings during installation!!
 
Just trying to recover some of the money I wasted on these.

there are 3 colours of o rings, orange, red and black. Have you got the right ones now??

No I don't have the ones I need yet.


There are the three different types of o-rings but 7 different rims??

So the question is what o-rings fit all these different rims.


Here is the first hand information I have. If anybody has any other information to add to this list let me know. I only want first hand info, no "I read somewhere" or "this book states". I want to know if you had the unopened bag with the part number and fitted the o-ring to a specific wheel with absolutely no stretching or bunching. Or the exact dimensions of the o-ring you used with a perfect fit.


8 bolt


12 bolt (old style)

- 14.25 ID w/ 0.25 CS (have not confirmed but this is the measurement taken from the rim)


12 bolt (new style with extra alignment hole)

24 bolt (even bolt spacing)
