Hi gang!! Wondering if anyone from CHC is going to the MAY 31 FIMS event and wrenching party this year. I went last year and am planning to go this year again, The event was posted by Waterjetguy on the HML. Should be 25 plus trucks going from all over.
FIMS is Fachinni Intergrated Machine Service a 50,000 sqft factory sporting every modern CNC machine you can think of. Mike the owner can pull off anything you can dream up in tis shop. Its something to see if you are into this kinda stuff. Anyway he has posted an invitation for Hummer owners to come out for the day.
I know its a long drive but its an enjoyable run at least for me cause i rarely get out LOL Let me know if anyone plans to go and we can hook up on the way and convoy in.
Link to the HML thread. You will need to be an HML member to read this.

You say it's a long drive, where is it located? Couldn't find it on Google using that name and don't have a HML account.

Interesting tidbit i just found out about. Waterjetguy or Mike the guy throwing the event is the the guy punching out the billet stuff for the Rubber Duck H1 dash kits. Rubber Duck will also be at the event.

Apparantly they may be taking some orders for the kits at the event for a special deal!! I probably can't afford it anyway but the products look amazing.
Still hoping someone else from the club is up for going.

Leaving this friday for the event!!
Truck is pretty much ready and setup. I am a little worried about the trans cooling line leaking. Doesn't seem to matter how you clamp that line it always seems to leak. If you own an H1 you will know the little piece of hose and 2 clamps i am talking about!! Other than than that truck is running very well. I will be conducting some fuel pressure tests in relation to fuel economy on the way there and back. I will post the results when in hand.

Fun event, fun drive!! Lots of new faces to meet. I had the pleasure of meeting Travis fromRD and spent a fair amount of time going through his new build involving the Super 77 turbo from Heath and a deadly intercooler setup, all brand new stuff!!! I'll post a few pics of that build and i wil;l leave a link for the other fims pics and video that a member did up.

Unfortunatly the one CHC flag i took lost its ability to hold up past the recommended speed of 70 mph and snanppd off somewhere in the Pokanos's along I90.
