There should be pressure! As the coolant heats and expands, there is pressure.
Are you sure you do not have a slow leak somewhere??

No leaks, trucks temperature is actually 3 degrees cooler than with the dexcool.

Here's the site.

Too Cool!

So was it hard to remove ALL the old coolant from everywhere???

I was looking at doing this soon on mine as well...looks like you beat me yet again!!!

What color is the new coolant?

Removing the old coolant wasn't that hard at all, it's just time consuming...it took me about 4 hours (i take my time) from start to finish.

Warm-up the H2 so its easier to drain.
Jack-up the rear so the lowest point would be the rad.
Remove the lower hose from the rad and let it drain.
Remove the heater hose from the back of thermostat housing then slowly blow with compressed air until nothing comes out.
Re-install all the hoses.
Installed 2 gallons of Evans prep fluid.
Start it and let it warm-up.
Repeat the drain procedure and install the Evans waterless coolant.

I had a good air lock on the system so its kinda overheated it but no boiling or steam comes out of the reservoir.
Jack-up the front of the H2 and squeeze the upper and lower rad hose and finally the air comes out.
Let it idle until the thermostat opens. It was almost in the middle (210F) on my temp gauge.
Check for leaks.
Tested the coolant with refractometer and the result was 0% water in the system. AWESOME!

After a good road test with the rad fan ON and the temp gauge almost in the middle, i opened the reservoir cap, NO pressure...COOL!

The color is light brown.

Hey Jimmy,

How much did it cost and where did you purchase it?

Thanks,

I just thought of something else.

How have you found the heating system in the winter?

Does it transfer heat better? Does it heat up more quickly? Does it help with cold starts?

Hey Kev,

I bought 2 boxes (8 gallon total) for my H2 & H3 from these guys. You also need 2 gallon of this and this tool which i can lend it to you.

I've noticed a little more heat in the cabin from the two trucks and warms up a little faster from a cold starts.
