Re: HUMVEE C Series Planned Launch January 2015
What are they expected to go for...?
One thing I wonder - are they going to be using GM parts.... will all fall apart if they do. I see the GM 6.6 is on there for an upgrade which is worth it.... as long as it doesn't fail...
I miss my H2 - but I don't miss all the GM issues I had... When I get an H-1, will definitely be 03 or older thus no G parts. I think they started in 04 on the H-1's even though they started the H-2's in 03.

Re: HUMVEE C Series Planned Launch January 2015
Actually H1s have always been GM from the Start! All the way back to 84!
The engine has always been a GM 6.2L or 6.5L Diesel, later versions where turbo charged. There was also 5.7L or 8.1L Gas Engines.
The transmissions have always been either a Turbo 400 or a 4L80E
Only the Alpha had a 6.6L Duramax with the Allison.
The transfer case and differentials along with the brakes where Dodge.
The Steering Column and Key are 84 Ford Escort!
H1s that had ABS/TT4 came from a Land Rover Discovery!!!
GM has the most reliable engines and transmissions in the truck crowd! Sorry you got a lemon!! My H2 has been a Champ thru and thru!!!
I thinkn you had an 08 though and the majority of the problems where with all the electronic nannies. I think Jimmy corrected all of his issues, right Jimmy???
Later,
Kev

Wow.... Never heard that before... Not many people i know who owns a GM actually likes it. My brother has a 2010 with the 6.6 duramax... Hates it. Tranny has been redone already and that diesel module has been replaced already.. He actually plans on selling it.
When my H2 was in the shop.. They made me get a Sierra from Enterprise while being fixed - tranny failed and left me stranded..
Awesome you've had good luck... Havent heard of many...
Of course i must admit to being totally biased now... Have had 3 GM's in my life... Isuues with all three...
That C still looks nice though...
Anyone know the Price?
Dave

Yes, most of the problem with my '08 H2 has been corrected and repaired. I replaced all the weak parts with HD parts. Right now, it's been trouble free and lovin' every minute of it

I'd assume the price is going to be about 90K USD, and going up from there
