You also need a transfer case, new front suspension, new front radiator clip and rad and intercooler, new instrument cluster, new exhaust, new fuel lines, new fuel tank, upgraded master cylinder and probably a dozen other little things! Why do you think it costs upwards of $20,000.00 to do it right!!! And with the price of fuel going up, it would take a long time to pay off the mod. Why not consider doing mods to your 6.0L??? I get between 10L/100km to 13L/100km on the highway with my packages that I have designed and I am not done yet, soon I should be close to 6.5L/100km to 8.5L100km!!! But I have to finish my product testing first!!! Best part everything looks stock!!!

Why not start with your exhaust??? A set of Dynatech Headers and High-Flow Cats are good for a solid 20% increase!!! (figure 2-4mpg) Couple that with a Gibson Exhaust and you just got another 10%!!! Amsoil Synthetic oil everywhere!!! Including powersteering t-case, diffs and engine and tranny of course! Another 15% there!!! Then there is the not so common things but you'll have to drive your H2 up here for me to share those with you!!!!

I was thinking about the exhaust, just like the quiet purrr I have now, not sure how loud I want to go, as for oil, I use Royal Purple Synthetic (diffs, t-case, engine) ( not tranny or powersteering) and K&N Oil filters, is Amsoil really that much better the royal purple?

as for the CATS and headers.. How loud will this make the H2? I had dynatech headers, Magnaflow high flow cats and a magnaflow exhaust on my Navigator and it sounded great but on the highway there was a constant hum that made it difficult to talk from the two rows and my family always bitched, I don;t want to get into that $hit again, even if I liked it, the crap I took for my kid and wife was ridicilous.

I also have a K&N Cold Air intake, it is suppose to help..

any idea or thoughts??

While Royal purple is good, AMSOIL IS BETTER!!! For the exhaust I did alot of research before I bought my systems also because of the same situation as you and I find it quieter than stock out on the highway especially when climbing hills. Outside the vehicle you get a very Sweet Exhaust Note!!! For your Intake while the K&N Filter is hard to Beat the rest of the system leaves something to be desired. I ran a Airmax system for quite sometime and had huge mileage gains, but since the filter is exposed and I now do deep water crossings I did't like knowing that I could cause my own demise!!! So I designed my own, still working on some aspects of it combining some off the shelf parts with some of my own creations! Also the Dynatech system and the gibson exhaust are both rated for off-road abuse! Also there are several systems from Gibson...only one is quiet!!! If you want before you buy anything, the next time you are in MTL, give me a call and I'll take you for a spin so you can judge for yourself and not based on my personal opinion!

Powersteering.. Amsoil??

Diff... Amsoil??

Let me know, I will be changing or could change some of my fluids soon... I still have some Royal Purple for Engine and Diff but....I know guys that could take them off my hands if needed.. Would like to keep them all the same kind.

Let me know your suggestions.

I use 0w-30 for the engine, the universal ATF for the tranny and t-case, but soon going to Torque-Drive ATF since I pull heavy trailers but not sure if it will affect mileage. For the diffs severe duty 75W-90, power steering is Tractor/hydraulic/transmission 5W-30 oil, I also use their Coolant and DOT 4 brake fluid. I do use their PI fuel additive but only once, since now I run a Fitch Fuel Catalyst.
