Hello, everybody!

Yesterday my H3 radio start to work weird. Small speakers are still working but big ones- not any more. Two days ago everything was okay. I never listen my music loudly. My older daughter took H3 for ride, but she told me that she didn,t even turn it on. So I tried to change some settings but it didn,t work. May be it,s problem with radio connector? Any suggestions?

Thank You.

Disconnect BOTH battery terminals from the battery and hold only the positive and negative connections together for about 5 minutes. NOTE: This is just the cables you are touching together...the battery should have nothing connected to it at all! By doing this you are reseting all the onboard computers. Most likely your BCM (Body Control Module) is not sending the radio signal to the speakers.

But if I will disconnect both terminals from battery the radio will be locked, I think. As I know it, there is anti- theft system in this radio. And if it will happened I don't know how to unlock radio after.

Your radio is already VIN locked to your H3. The only way to trigger the anti-theft is if you install this radio to another H3, then you need a Tech 2 or TIS to unlock it. You can go ahead and disconnect the battery terminals.

Is it any possibility to check speakers one by one without removing door panels and speakers themselves? Can I use tester for it?

Have you tried disconnecting the battery terminals yet? It won't lock the stereo unless you put the stereo in another vehicle.

Also check the fuses for the stereo and amplifier. There is a chance the stereo may have been turned up a little too loud (kids will be kids after all) and the fuse just popped.

Turn the stereo on after checking all of this and if they still don't work, walk around and put your ear near each speaker if you hear hissing/static the speakers are blown and take a sniff, if you smell burnt wires or a burnt clutch/brake-type odour that's the icing on the cake that the speakers are dead.

If you can't hear anything and can't smell anything the problem is with the stereo or amplifier.

The only way to check the speakers one by one is to take a tester to each positive and negative wire in the harness behind the head unit (stereo face)

I checked already fuse for radio and it's looks like okay visually. And what I think that if fuse for radio was burnt so in that case radio is not gonna work at all. But in my case two small speakers are still working. So I don't think that it's radio fuse. I don't know about amplifier fuse but I have just standard regular radio with 1 CD and I didn't put any custom made amplifier. But I will check it, because I am not sure yet.

Today I found fuse for amplifier. You was right, such fuse is really exist. When I pulled it out I found that fuse is not burnt and is okay, but when I put it back in fusebox and started my truck so one of the four big speakers start to work! It's rear right one. Three other big speakers still don't work! And there is no any noise is coming from them or there is no smell of burnt plastic around them. I suspect that they were burn long time ago and I didn't mentioned it untill today. Or may be something suddenly happened to speakers. I don't know exactly.
