Anyone have experience changing the engine oil cooler hose assembly on their truck? (AC Delco p/n 15114167) one of my lines is leaking at the top of the manifold part of the piece. How difficult it this to replace? from the location alone it looks like a real PITA.

You beat me to it!

I just finished doing this on my H2 with pics and everything!

It is not that bad to do BUT it would encourage you more to do what I did and never have to worry about it again!

The solid lines are not your problem only the rubber and the crimps.

I replaced those section with 1500psi braided stainless steel hosing and AN -8 fittings to make them one very solid line. All parts are from Russell Performance but you can get them at any hot rod/performance parts shop!

I have now been testing mine for about 1 month and they are perfect. No leaks and no headaches!

Here are all the parts I got;

I also got two new OEM Style radiator quick connects from Dorman Products to ensure a good seal and a new flange gasket for the block to cooler line assembly interface.

The new set goes in in two parts, making it way easier!

I would highly advise you disconnect and remove your front drive shaft to allow you access without frustration!

Hope this helps!

PB this is exactly what I was hoping for! did you just cut the old lines out and install these components? also do you have a parts list handy, I want to attempt this procedure. looks solid and eliminates the factory junk crimp connections.  (replaced my
 tranny cooling line due to same issue)
