Looking for a few items.

Post by MattvonBauer »

I am looking for 4 HMMWV bead lock wheels.

I am also looking for the possibility on getting the 4 bolts for the rear shackles. (When I got the vehicle it had the shackles but no bolts.

I need the top driver side H2 red lens for the corner cab marker.

Depending on the cost I am interested in getting a door skin for a 03 H2.

Mines completely shattered. Was going to rebuild it but depending on how much someone may want to sell a scrap one of any colour they have I may be interested.

Random item of interest: Anyone have any semi truck horn trumpets, 12v air compressor and tank?

Cheers

The H2 rim has to be bored out to fit the spindle of an H1
.If you have vee style lug, a little clearance is good.
However, if you are using flat lug nuts, the bore must fit the spindle snug.
I believe the rims will fit without spacers.Kevin can correct me if I am wrong.

They can fit but I would really not recommend taking a standard H1 and installing it without having recentered it to the proper back spacing or running a 1.5inch thick wheel spacer...but I hate wheel spacers!

If you take a H2 wheel and put it on an H1, the tires will stick out.

On an H2 the H1 wheels will greatly increase the chance of tire rubbing on the frame and body but that would be without spacers or recentering. If you at least use the 1.5" spacers there will be zero rubbing issues and will fit and look great! I would highly advise recentering!

Here are some examples of recentered H1 wheels from Trailworthy Fab

http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/axles-tires-wheels/746158-recentered-h1-special.html

I have considered this in the past but the lack of available 16.5 tires swayed me...but now there are more to choose from so it might be something that I explore again in the future!

Hope this helps

I actually orginally found that the HMMWV wheels would fit the H2 without much issue at all. This is the first time I heard anything contrary to that. Not that I mind finding more experiances of course. :)

I was likely going to space them a small amount anyways simply for the stance.

I was told the breaks would be fine with the .5" wheel reduction but you never know till you get into it anyways.

I don't really need to worry about rubbing on my specific rig because I've got the full 4" Rancho lift.

Once I get the HMMWV wheels I was going to put them on 40" mudders.

Currently my Hummers running 20" wheels on 38" rubber and there is more then enough tire space. Only main issue I was wondering about would be the off set. But I'll figure that out when I get to it. :)
Thanks for the in put gents.

16.5s clear just fine...I am running 16s on my H2 and they clear the brakes just fine!

When putting spacers on, the minimum thickness is the stud lenght of the spindle studs unless you change them.
