2000 H1 No Start

Hello!

Still awaiting my H1 from Colorado and the shop states the following issue.  Drove it onto a truck to trailer for alignment and wouldn't start once it got there.  Cranks fine, most of the "usual suspect" parts have been changed (injector pump X 2, pmd, pmd relocate, injectors), but apparently fuel doesn't get past the injector pump.  I'm told it goes to the pump and then straight back to the tank return lines.  They thought it was the IP and changed that twice, did the PMD first and all the injectors but no luck.  Never laying my hands on an H1 (yet!) and having most of my experience with classic cars as opposed to diesel, I'm little help.

Anyone ever run into a similar thing?  The two shops that have looked at it in Colorado are baffled.  I'm just anxious to get my truck... haha!

Thanks for any feedback!

Mark

Is the engine shutoff solenoid getting power when you key on? If you have changed all those parts there has to be a wiring issue. On some 6.5L diesels if the oil pressure switch does not detect pressure, it will not complete the circuit to the ESO solenoid and the truck will not start. This was a safety.

Hope this helps!

Hopefully not a kill switch hidden in there,? Accidentally hit.

Truck had started previously to load onto a tow vehicle. So why change the IP and injectors?? Ring out the wiring between the PCM and the IP and check the grounds to the engine.

1)
There is a rare issue with the wiring harness over the engine. Constant rubbing wears the wire to short and blows the fuse to the pcm. At the main plug over the engine, turn it upside down and check for bare wires, replace fuse and test
2)
If the motor tries to start while cranking, replace the oil pressure switch

I would also check the optical sensor wiring as well to ensure the high and low rez timing signals are making it to the PCM. PMD will not fire unless it gets these signals.

Thanks guys! They're still working on it, I'm told it will be figured out this week. It's like reliving the day before xmas over and over again! Haha! Very appreciative of the tech advice!
