bias vs. radials

Was wondering if bias and radials are that different for say hwy drag?

Once on hwy is there a different *feeling* between a balanced bias or radial?

Im always on super swamper bias , and they seem to go within 2 years.... I do lots *if not all*hwy kms...... was wondering if worth it to up to a 17" rim and 40's radials..?? Or stick to 39.5 bias? Lol planing for winter time hehe

Switch to radials you will never go back!
 
You will get better on road ride, better mileage, better fuel economy and more even tire wear! you will alos have much higher load carrying capacity!
 
As well, you might actually find them better offroad!
 
You could run Irok Radials on your stock wheels.
 
If you offroad, the 16.5 wheel will give you a tad better offroad flex!
 
I actually went from 17inch wheels down to 16 inch wheels on my H2...traction is amazing!
 
I run 39inch Michelin XMLs...another possibility!

I run a set of Mickey Thompson bias ply tires. They will last 15 to 20 k max, top speed 70mph with gas mileage of 8-10 mpg. I only put them on for trails. The rest of the time i run the military radials. I already have 20k on them and they look new. I can easily break 100mph and my mileage is closer to 14-16 mpg. Way less rolling resistance.
