I purchased a used 2007 H3.
 
When I push on the carpet and the backbed, there is a soft gel feel.
Has the previous owner already soundproofed the truck?
 
Does insulating underneath the hood decrease cabin noise also?

I think it is standard on all H3s... it's about 1 inch thick and take a long time to dry if you get water on cabin floor. I had to take my seats out and lift the carpet after Ardbeg offroading to dry it ....
