Yea with any repair I basically have to plan on snapping all the bolts, I've come to terms with this,.

Lately (outta boredom ) I'm always lightly spraying engine area, and anything with rust sprays and try to keep things Lubed I guessed, antiseize is my best friend.

break the bolts
,rear-inside wheel well 3 per side
front-behind the marker -2 per side, may have to remove bracket which is 3 screws ans 2 bolts per side

Honestly this job isn't as bad as it looks.....lol when I changed mine, and broke the first bolt, I lost it,lol

I swore/spit/ wondered why I even did this,.

Then after a day (of bitching) I realized I can use a drill 3/8" bit, wheat ever size close to shaft size

I drilled then heads off the bolts and pushed them in after heads drilled off, with a punch or Robertson screw driver.

Hold drill strong and be patient as you don't want to slip off the head and slide on paint, lol,.

For bolts/nuts

I bought little a plastic box that came with various size nuts and bolts at crappy tire, (10ish bucks)

Needed a drop light to be able to see in back easier, I had also little bit of ground issues as some wires/connections were sooooo corroded,

So basically took my time to clean ends, (some I replaced) but it's a good Sunday job,

Make sure you have access to another car, lol I forgot electric tape and did a quick trip after and lol to de-stress , heheh

Seriously do one at time and make work load less in head and you'll be shocked how quick can go,.

I put led's in last year and like the look myself,

Agreed... Let the bolts break if they must. Its a good chance to clean up the wiring too. The trick is putting in new bolts that will not rust. I just went through this and finally gave up and replaced the lighting for the whole truck. Before that I was replacing lights one at a time. Headlight assemblies disintegrating in my hands after the bolts broke off...that kind of thing.
You might actually have some fun doing it... this is part of owning an H1. Sometimes a really big part.

good luck Bud

Thanks guys for the insight. I had broken the 1st bolt and decided to call it quits and list the led bulbs for sale. Gave up too soon...haha.. I'll attempt to do it

Lol EXACTLY , hehe after I broke that first one bolt I thought I was over head, (just so you know they all break) hehe and it don't take major pressure either for those babies to pop.

And then when I actually continued, realized it wasn't to bad of a job, and as stated ,got to clean up stuff while in there,.

I honestly don't think one bolt survived.(maybe one did)
