I have considered these in the past but after a few CAT contamination control classes this would be very labor intensive! True it would allow us to inspect it at every oil change but I still do that with my regular filters! That and I use a Filtermag! That and I only use K&N or AMSoil filters and if it fits CAT filters, nothing filters better than those!!!

Only issue I'd have is blow by diesel, that can be present in the oil,

It says still to take apart every 10000 miles to clean.

I think for me I prefer to change more often so I can inspect , sniff, taste (with crackers)hehe, and see if any things weird.

It looks sweet though,

On the other hand I guess you can clean the life time more often .

Then again I like to have a NEW filter beside each change, instead of cleaning it,,,,

Oill changes I find is like bonding with your rig, lol and helps ya get under and see if any other issues that might be or soon to be present.

Use a similar oil filter on my motorcycle with great results. My oil pressure stayed fairly close to the same but it seemed to stay there for almost the life of the oil vs a conventional style where the pressure would actually start to drop due to back pressure from a plugged up filter.
