oil light coming on

hi everyone, my oil light has started to come on when I stop for a stop sign, or waiting for a light to turn green, once you start moving it goes out. I checked the oil level and it is good , the oil was changed about two months ago . anybody have this problem before? thanks .

Does your oil pressure gauge drop when the light comes on? If yes, get you engine oil pump replaced ASAP before it fails and causes loads of damage!

Sounds to me like the oil pump is going out for sure. Light comes on because the engine rpm drops and it stops moving enough oil. Comes on again when your rpm goes up and it can finally pump enough.

hi everyone, I got my problem fixed . what happened was I did not know my power steering pump was leaking, the fluid was leaking down onto the oil sending unit and shorted it out .

yes, that was good news, the bad news is the wife has not spoken to me since she got home from work
