Star washer seal

I had my pinion seal and the two side axle seals changed last year and since I have minor leaking on caliber both sides, drips but I replace every other month....

I'm more then positive they didn't install any start seal, as I remember on the three bigger ones,

I was going to try to fix, do I NEED the start washer? Or can I seal with "good stuff" sealant and let dry a few hours and then put on the shaft flange?

Or is the star washer nesessary ?

Yes I WILL be ,

Yes was wondering if I can just squish sealant in there ,but probably best to just do it right and put sealant on inside and outside of the seal.. Lol cover all basis

If it is just the nut that is leaking, put sealant on the mounting face as a temporary fix. Then order in the right parts. Unless it is the output shafts of the diff. Then there will be too much time to do it twice.
