Fuel tank selector valve

Post by Monk »

I just changed mine today and the person that say "s a little bit of diesel spill? Must die...

Lol after backstroke to the front of my truck

I was under the impression the hose leaks a little bit of fuel and then it stops, big mistake.... Lol...

And of course every clip had to be super hard and dirty and break.

On a good note I got a fuel valve super cheap at the auto wreckers I paid $20 for it and it looks like brand new. The clips on the new golf look really nice so I cut a lot of hoes so I had extra hose.

I took some pictures and we'll put it up later on of some of the steps I did but wow it was totally messy.

I am not quite done the job yet as I have to still plug in and put the new clips on the line just taking a break

Also I had NO clue the oil pressure switch also activates the fuel tank selector ,

I was unplugging things to tidy up stuff and thinking ahhhhhhh shot, my valve is dead already, hehehe

Wouldn't switch , soooo after some mild crying, I tryed to find the fuse? Pffft, found nothing online,

Then for laughs and kicks I unplugged the lift pump relay, and jumped it, and bam tank switched,

And then found the that power for that came from the ops, who knew? Hahhaa

So for the some n/a trucks the ops powers the tank valves, lift pump, sends power to the tank switch, via lift pump relay....

Lol well, that's my hummer talk for the day, still learning ;)
