Well Roy was kind enough to squeeze me in on Sat.

Basicly my (hub side boots) were toasted.

So ordered aftermarket boots, it's not the hard plastic feel of am-general , but seems good, gonna experiment and see how long these last.

What I really enjoyed as Roy works he explains as he works, So I understand how things work more...

This was the start of shaft two....lol I forgot to take pics of the first shaft that was done.

I'd say took roughly 3hours total (with explaining stuff to me)

This was cleaning the spray/salt/gunk/ grease/ mud, all over the shaft

the hub side boots still was in great condition so I didn't want changed...

Filled the cage/bearings and inner shaft with grease provided in the boot kit

After greasing the cage/bearing balls ...

LOL then its like stirring a soup, move the shaft to one side grease then move shaft to other, hehe yummy

Ps, the boot slide through when it was just splines, we just slide up the shaft as it was assembled

And lol me heading home in snow a squal, camera didn't seem to pick up the white out in front, but some areas had bad snow blowing in Stratford...

I've been procrastinating so many years as my (to do list) keep increasing, so forcing myself to keep up and get these repairs done.

I'll be taking more pic as more (to do) stuff gets done. Plus come summer I'd like to just enjoy the truck:)

Oh and PS, not sure if Roy sprays himself with Pam or what, but the man had zero grease on his cloths after....lol I swear if I did that job I'd be black with grease head to toe, hehe

True, lol I only changed my fuel tank selector valve in the summer ,and that little job alone,....I lost 2 shirts from all the diesel spilled on me,....

Then (stupid me) fuel falls on n my head and I turn to avoid it and it filled my ear,.... I was def in that ear for a week, in time it got .. better,..,,

Stubborn me didn't wanna break down and see a doc " I should have" but all is good now,.,,

Oh, my point of this story, I stunk like diesel for a long time, even after showering many times, didn't help right away,,,heheh
