AC condensate drain

Post by Monk »

Sooooo, after a few days of not noticing any puddles behind my passenger side front tires, I decided to see why because I had my AC on at full pop all the time.

I always leave my floor drain unplugged and then I noticed there was some discoloration from the AC drain to the floor drain, inside the cab...

So, lol after a few breaths trying to blow air into the tube, I realized she's plugged solid..

A nice length of flex steel wire I started jamming the tube going from the bottom up and I can't believe how much it looked like concrete dust came out of that tube,

At first my wire only went up maybe 6 inches by the time I was finished with it it was very far into there....

Lol this am, I finially had a puddle....lol

I'm driving around the heat more hehe, as the clutch fan is night and day now, darn cool always.. ..

I sometimes wish it would do a LONG haul...uphill but it's a hummer....

Happy days

I think from other forums etc, I was lead to belive the heater and A/c really suck, BUT from personal experience, (upgraded unit)

Even at the hottest days so far, things are very comfortable inside, and after 15-20 mins I have to turn dial as to cold.....

Now, the heat?? Pffttt,*spit* heehhe back unit always blew hot, but that darn front , (for me) was never up to par...

Agreed Monk. The A/C on my 99 works great. All I've had to do was change out a line to the condenser and top up the refrigerant a couple years ago.
