Wondering if some has experience changing the seal on the cold side of the turbo where it meets the y pipe, I can't quite get it up high enough to clear the turbo and slide it out from under the A pillar, wondering if the body has to come up and if so how much?
 
Update, ok, from my service manual it states pull the turbo and this should expose the seal, bad thing is then I need more gaskets...lol... going to see if I can find the dimensions for the o ring part # 5745167 and see if available locally.
 
If I can raise the body an inch or two it would save pulling the turbo.. Worst part of the job is getting the doghouse cover in and out, pretty tight fit with the wiring harness.

Be Thankful it is not an Alpha!!! Those are very *FUN* to work on!!!

Btw, on a H1 with a 2 inch body lift you can do this job and many others with ease!

And yes getting the doghouse to clear the harness is no joking matter!

Jack the front of body till the wheels are just touching. This should give you enough room.
size 408 viton seal. Outer seals are from a  GM 6.5 van body..dealer order in part

Sorry just to clarify, jack the body without releasing the two front body mount bolts?

try it that way, then if needed, loosen the front mounts. There should be about 1/2 movement in the bushings from down weight to up lift.
