Crank

Post by GreenMeanie »

Anyone with info on a forged or billet crank for a 6.5 turbo? I have to rebuild my bottom end and i don't want to use a Scat crank again. I know the P400 crank is much better but wondering if there is a billet option anyone knows of. Also is there a reputable place in or near Toronto to have the crank trued, balanced and micro polished??
Also going to be adding a fluid damper, new oil pump and new Clevite's. Probably the oil pan as well given i will have to mangle the original to get it off.
This could all be mute if upon a look see there are any mains cracks opening up and/ or caps walking.
Truck is drivable to some degree and actually runs OK but there is an odd vibration occuring at various harmonics leading me to believe the crank is either broken, cracked or at least one clevite has spun..Balancer appears to be in good shape but it is the original with over 130k miles.
Yay!!
