I was driving along with my h1 2000, when i decided to put a little more air in my tires.Once i started the compressor the ignition and compressor shut off while i was driving . Once i pulled to the shoulder i let the glow plug warm up, the truck started 

right up. I then tested it again started the compressor this time all good.  Once i pulled in my driveway i tried the compressor again this time it shut down my ignition again. I looked  at the wires and connection everything looks good.  im a little puzzled on this one . If anybody has an idea please feel free to inform me.  Thanks .  Dan

Mine did the same thing so i didnt use it for a couple of months. The next time i did the fuse blew. Turned out it was the compressor motor. It was so corroded inside i hade to write it off as junk. Cold salty Canadian winters and lots of driving off road has a lot to do with it. The 3 port air switch is known to be problamatic as well. From what i can tell the compressor was a piece of crap anyway. I replaced it with a 40 dollar Can Tire one that works about the same.

I agree that it is most likely the compressor but check your batteries also they may be due for a change, especially if they are the factory originals! The compressors are supposed to be sealed units but have many issues with inhaling water and moisture thru the intake. A better solution to the factory compressor would be one from Oasis Off-road which far exceeds the factory output and will also lend itself to run air tools if the need arises. The best part is you can pretty much inflate ALL four massive tires in 1/2 the time! I am doubting the $40 Canadian Tire Compressor, that thing must take about 1/2 hour to inflate each tire! It may have the pressure but it doesn't have the output and the flow.
