If after driving you notice a hot rubber smell near the engine compartment with hood closed. Very short lived with slightly elevated fuel consumption. Have a mechanic immediately check the wiring by the manifolds. Seems the oxygen sensor cable can contact the manifold and melt and short till it causes total failure.
