If you happen to be the priveledged owner of a 2008 Hummer H2 SUV or SUT and you happen to be getting a clunking noise when in drive pulling away from a stop. You might get this either before or after the transmission shifts out of first gear and may be accentuated by light throttle application. THIS IS NOT NORMAL!!!
For the fix here is the Technical Service Bulletin No. 08-07-30-012, it is a revised transmission calibration that requires a reprogram of the transmission control module.
Hope this helps,
Kev

Definitely, you'll have ALL the info you could ever want for your H2, including access to the service manual! And the dealer will never be able to pull one over on you again!

Re: Technical Service Bulletin for 2008 H2
For those of you with a 2008 H2 that the Service Bulletin does not correct, I have done more digging to find a fix. If the clunk persists after the reprogramming, guess what they MUST replace ALL the seals inside the tranny. <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... >/ohmy.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':o' /> <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... >/ohmy.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':o' /> <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... >/ohmy.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':o' /> During assembly certain seals twist and get pinched allowing oil to pass thru certain passages that it should not be normally able to pass thru, therefore causing the clunk. There is no documentation of said fix, and no technical service bulletin yet but if the dealer calls T.A.C. line then they will tell them this is the approved fix and give them the warranty code to cover the work and parts!
Hope this helps!
