Re: Roof rack light HELP
My H2 came with factory lights on the rack and a factory switch on the roof mounted console up front.
The switch that is used...Lordco autoparts has some that are a close match. They have a large and small one. The small is almost the exact size as factory. It is a round low profile rocker switch with a square base. Uses a yellow/orange led. Lordco has this plus one in green, red, and blue.
The lights, you can do several things with wiring. If you will be permantly mounting the lights so that they are not made to come off with out effort, I would solder all connections outside and have them wrapped in flooded heat shrink tubing. This tubing has a type of sealant in it, heat activated and seals tight when cooling. Your connections will never oxidize through this.
If you want your lights to remove, then I would go with any type of marine application quick connectors. Lordco again has some of these.
And remember with your lights, use relays that your switches activate and the relays handle the lighting power.

Re: Roof rack light HELP
if you can see the red and blue switch, I installed these to support my fog lights on the brush bar and also my over hear lights as I bought both of them off Kijiji too, I didn't have the factory switches so I got these off of Ebay, they light up and look great.

The wiring I did with Weather Proof Marine Quick Disconnect connectors off of Ebay too and other wiring... they all work out great and light up fine..
Let me know what other solution I can help you with..
