Toyota chief apologizes for safety woes, sets up committee to raise quality control



The Toyota chief, Akio Toyoda, has apologized for safety woes and has set up a committee to raise quality control.



Toyota says it is investigating possible brake problems with Lexus hybrid



Toyota Motor Corp. says it is investigating possible brake problems with its luxury Lexus hybrid in Japan and the United States.



Toyota to install reinforcement bar to fix sticky pedal problem



Toyota Canada says it will install a steel reinforcement bar to fix the sticky pedal problem that has resulted in a recall of eight models

Unfortunate for Toyota, but it may help restore confidence in the Big Three.

Best comment I've heard was from a Toyota Exec. " We may have grown too big too fast".

Gee isn't that the problem pedal gets stuck or the brakes fail then they go too fast right of the road.
