Engine Mods for H3s

Post by whitehumh2 »

Here are some great Mods for you H3 guys

Alphas:

Gibson headers and swept side exhaust, major increase to  Also no interior noise and is warrantied and rated for Off-Road abuse.

MSD ignition upgrades, coils and wires, major increase to driveability and fuel mileage.

Intake systems are still being designed but coming soon!

Non-Alphas:

All the above but intakes are available with the best one being from Airaid and ignition upgrades are not possible!

Both:

Fitch Fuel Catalyst: great upgrade for ALL Hummers

Computer Upgrade: Best deal I've found is Wester's Garage in Alta. http://westers_garage.eidnet.org/

Spark Plugs: NGK iridium or E3 spark plugs

Oil: Synthetic....AMSOIL in every component possible!

Hope these tips help!

Hi Kev,

I would like to change the sparks plugs by my self for my HUMMER H3.

But I d'ont see where are sparks plugs <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... #>/huh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='???' />

Do you have the schema or picture to find them <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... #>/huh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='???' />

Thanks

To change your spark plugs you will need to remove the air intake that sits on top of the engine then you will need to disconnect the 5 coil wires and then unbolt and remove the coils. The spark plugs sit straight down under the coils. Don't worry about which coil goes where they are all interchangeable.

Hope this helps!

Kevin,

Do you have a lift kit on yours to fit the 37's?  I hear some rub and I hear some people say they don't...?

My 37s rub a bit but I will be installing a full cognito front kit in the next couple of weeks along with some special shocks that will give me huge clearance off-road, silky smooth ride on-road and 3" more wheel travel and 3" more ground clearance up front...I will be getting close to H1 clearance!!! I will be posting all my Christmas upgrades soon! I just want to finish installing them all first!!! So far I am at 30hours of install time and still counting for Phase 1...keep you guys posted.

Btw, I wish I lived in Ontario then I could change my License plate to H1 EATER!!! <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... >/grin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';D' /> <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... >/grin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';D' /> <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... >/grin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';D' />
