Mystery with "Service Air Suspension"

Post by GoingGreen »

I have a 2003 H2 with 80,00kms on it.  My "Service Air Suspension" message is on and my truck is currently appears to have the passenger side air bag inflated and the driver side deflated, so my truck is listing towards the drivers side.

We don't have a "Hummer Dealer" here in Saint John, NB, so it is currently in the hands of the local GM dealership.  They have had it for 3 days now and are still troubleshooting.  They ordered a new control module and that didn't solve anything.  They are now tearing apart wiring harnesses.

The onboard air compressor has no power to it and there is also no response when I press the air suspension button on the dash, no indicator lights and no response from my compressor.  The $85.00/hr labor rates continues and the dealer has assured me they have their best guy working on it.

Any ideas?<img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... #>/huh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='???' />

I change the two air bag on my 2004 h2 because the air suspension was going down overnight maybe you should check if you have small crack on the airbag.

The dealership spent another 3 hours today troubleshooting and somehow managed to get power to the compressor and it leveled the truck.  Then mysteriously, stopped receiving power once again.  They are ordering a new wire harness and a new load levelling sensor for the drivers side.

Still looking for any additional input.

Out of curiousity are you running larger than stock tires??? Normally at full lock on a right hand turn a larger than stock tire will rub thru the main power harness for the Air suspension in the Right Front Fenderwell. It won't be a big break and it likes to hide in the insulation but moisture will normally allow the circuit to fail or work only intermittently.

Let Me Know!
