traction light failure service needed

We had similar fault on an H3 alpha started dec 07 warning was traction failure service 4 wheel drive stability system failure.

All drive and stability switches off stability lite on .   System self corrected on re start or shifting out of gear finally failed in Jan this year when system would not reset problem was encoder (actuator) may have caused damage to transfer case and front diff when failure occured while in four low under load. Hope this helps have someone check actuator it may test ok but be intermitant failure dealer had to wait for total failure. ( see code fail  )
