A friend of mine told me that the Hummer H3 Alpha does not have a engine with the active fuel management, Displacement on Demand. I bought my 08 H3 Alpha last may, and the sales guy that I bought the truck from said it did have it.What is the truth, yea or nea.Does it have DOD..

Hey Nick,
Your Friend was right no Hummer has D.O.D. whether H2 or H3. The only thing that All Hummer H2s (AS of 2009) now have is E-85 capablility. This really does us no good mileage wise but does help the engine become more environmentally friendly. Most of GMs other V-8 vehicles have DOD standard but there are still exceptions!

Hope this helps!

We had a loaner yukon with dod on board while our H3 alpha was shopped the yukon drank gas way faster than the H3. It only cut cylinders when coasting or sitting still . On highway it was so bad we rescheduled all long trips. DOD is a dud.
