finally got the body on 2 inch body lift had plenty of room

had to knotch the steering hole threw cab a bit

just need my intercooler to arrive and button up the cooling system hopefully test drive next weekend

go through check list

all in all this conversion went well

hopefully get some feedback or spark some interest for someone who wants to do this to their hummer

Looks like a good project, please keep us posted specifically on how well the built 4l80e and the stock radiator stacks hold up to the conversion.

I want to do one similar(12v CTD etc) but want to go with a later 97-98 with the p-pump.

Hopefully I can start making it out to some CHC events and pick your brain on the swap.

sounds great, I am located in London. Although I am doing snow plowing this year so I am not sure when I would be able to make it down your way anytime soon I would like to come see it eventually.

I never knew the 97's had electronics that is something I will have to reconsider since I want to fo 12v to make it as mechanical as possible.

Thought so but wasnt too sure since it has been a few years since I really looked into doing this conversion.

Also with the older Cummins there is the "deadly dowel pin". Did you happen to fix this possible problem while you were in there?
