Re: Another Cummins Transplant
Time for more mods!******* Needed more brake power and steering pressure....*****
I have replaced the stock ps pump with a gear drive hydraulic pump. This unit will put out 4 times the fluid volume and a little more pressure. From the pump, a line goes thru an equal volume splitter .This was done so both units will have maximum pressure at all times without being depleted from the other unit. One side for the hydro boost and the other for the power steering. From the modified ps gear box, 2 lines connect to a ram cylinder that adds lots of extra force to the centre link to help steering the 42" tires. The reservoir tank has come out of a Ford 700 series truck.Large capacity with a 3/4 line feed to the pump. The vacuum pump will soon be replaced by an expensive electric pump just to power the heater controls
Just finishing up with this mod, before taking pics. Talk about being a heinz 57! The monster will roll out just before the May event and will run all summer hard till we modify the next .

Sweet!! Can't wait to see the finished product!!
Have you tested it at all yet???
Does your steering turn without any effort?
Are your brakes better than ever before???

Re: Another Cummins Transplant
Yes, this system does not fit as a bolt on to a 6.5.

So you have a modified system planned out for the P400 engine?
