Hummer Rubber

Hey There;
I run a Hummer 4x4 tour company in Whistler B.C., and I'm looking for some input as to where people are finding tires. I am still running 16.5 inch rims which is my main problem. I am told that the Super Swamper TSL's (38/12.5/16.5) that I have ordered in the past are no longer in production. I was thinking of setting up a p.o. box south of the border as there just doesn't seem to be much for sale in Canada.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

I would strongly consider looking for a used set of 17" rims and then you have a lot of options. I picked up as set of Cepeks with hidden CTIS for $1320 including shipping from California to Ontario.

What other Rubber are you interested in? Does it need to be 16.5? as Martin says above, 17" are easier to find and a good set of H2 rims with the center cut to fit would be an easy and cheap fix for you, their are a lot of those around. Also check with HEavyDe on here, he has 4 different sets of H1 rims for sale.
If you want to stay with 16.5" talk to CrazyCanuck, Roy, I think he has MTs in stock, if not he could probably get some for you.
PM me if you need anything from South of the border, I am sure I can help you there.

Thanks for the reply dwaxman1. I have 4 trucks and with the economy / business being down a bit the thought of buying 16 new rims plus spares makes me a little nervous. I think I am going to eventually go that route but for now I just want to stick with the 16.5's. Do you know anyone south of the border that has military or re-treads for a good price? I have P.O. box just over the border and can pick them up in Washington State.
Thanks again.

I run on RXM-32 TrXus MTs (37x12.5R16.5LT):

My experience with them has been great; they are relatively quiet on the road and handle snow,ice and mud well.
The "cheapest" place 4 years ago was Cedar Tire on Vancouver Island but it took 5 weeks to get them up from the States.

check out yournexttire.com I got 4 40" procomp XTerrain tires for $300 each and free shipping from Nebraska to Blaine.
if you call them up they quite often have inventory not listed on the site.
