New Gauge Install on 96 HMCS

Post by dwaxman1 »

Yesterday HeavyDe helped me install all the probes for my three new gauges on my H1...

  • Boost Gauge
  • EGT Gauge (Exhaust Gas Temp)
  • Tranny Temp Gauge
I went with the Glow Shift gauges, I like them because they all come in Black, change colour, and are relatively cheap, also got them as a package

Also got a Rubber Duck HVAC relocation Kit

here are a few pics...

First Doghouse off

Looks good dude, very slick. Out of curiosity, when I pulled my dog house dash cover off, I had another huge section that remained, and needed to be removed (used clamps I believe to secure it) if access to the motor was needed - I didnt see that component in your pictures, but Im assuming you do have it... right?

Can you show some pics of the HVAC Relocation too? Any tips or difficulty moving the unit to replace the CD Changer?

In theory could I do the HVAC relocate and put a double DIN stereo in?

Having the HVAC relocate is great to give the passenger access to the controls - or a bad idea depending on your point of view LOL
