had the truck up at line-x coatings today to talk about coating the entire truck <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... ght_on.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':right_on:' /> <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... ght_on.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':right_on:' /> <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... ght_on.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':right_on:' />

So i think satin black is out and line-x coating the whole truck is in theres a few pics of vehicles done i think its going to turn out great especially off roading no more scratches and be more resistant to dents

Only problem that I see with Line-X'ing a truck, is it drastically hurts the resale value. Granted, a matte/satin likely would too, but not as deeply.

Either way, I love it if its meant for the trails, and support and look forward to it, but keep this in mind if turn-over is a consideration down the road.

you can look at it from both sides of the coin

keeping it dead nuts original is way expensive and hard to do and ya sure you migth get a good buck down the road if you street queen the truck

i allready built one with a cummins all custom racks that originally was a gas engine OUCH!! whick was worthless and is now probly worth something

I kinda have a warped train of thougth sometimes it would probly cost me a good 5k plus to have painted back to original

or line-x it which is guaranteed for life keep in mind !! and be able to offroad and be more resistant to scratches dents and of course corrosion of any sort and pay half that to me this would be an upward move

So i guess to some your rigth keeping it original and prestine shape you be better down the road selling it YES

But for some , we like to enjoy the reason they where built to offroad the truck !! learn how to drive them , repair them etc

When my rig gets so scratched up and needs new paint , I may do the line x on mine also...Im just curious and this may seem like a dumb question but will the line x add alot of weight to the truck?
