Light footed with a couple of performance additions ...

approx 980kms-highway ---based on 18.5mpg and using 35 gal canadian

average 700 city/highway

But it does not matter! When you own a Hummer ,You just pay and drive!!!

When the fuel is low, look for another fuel depot <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... oflmao.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':rotflmao:' /> <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... oflmao.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':rotflmao:' />

I guess it all depends on what you do with it. For example, if you ride it in the trails at 10km/h you will definitely do less mileage!

I installed a hour meter on it but never actually calculated how much hours I would get in on tank. Or how much gallons/hours.

The way I look at it, it's more like gallons/minutes <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... oflmao.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':rotflmao:' />

I don't know how others calculate mpg. I got my 98 with a bad main tank sender so I tracked consumption closely to get a handle on how many miles/km the tank was good for. Over a range of conditions my worst was 9.8mpg and the best was 14.9mpg (US gallon). Note that these are true, full tank to full tank average values. It would not surprise me to see higher spot mpgs from Scanguage II - fitted trucks.

So two tanks; 17 plus 25 us gallon = 42gal

42gal x 14mpg = 588 miles = 946km

I truly don't think I get better the 11MPG.. at best...and other then Tom's super fine tuned 2003 H1..I am not sure who good much better mileage..I of course am not referring to a Alpha or any conversion model...I would have to guess that 9-11MPG, even with some MODs but I do not drive mine for the mileage, I drive it because I love it..and BTW my H2 is about as bad if not worst...

I am not heavy footed, I just like to drive...and I know when all the guys convoyed to Indiana back in June and we had around 10 H1s all driving together,, they all got approx the same mileage..so not much difference and they were all different model years and all with everything from basically stock to Darcy's beast..

When you drive a rig like ours.. you are not driving a prius, mileage should truly be the last thing on your mind, if it is, then these trucks are truly not for you..

just my honest two cents worth..

Everyone asks me about the mileage, and I tell them "Look, it gets better mileage than my '76 K5 Blazer on 37's with a factory 400, nor did I expect to buy a prius. All I know, and all that matters is still to this day, when I pull into the gas station Im still smiling, and cant see that changing any time soon. I love this truck, and it truly is like nothing else"

I think it is still a good question to ask. No one expects any Hummer to get stellar fuel economy. But it's still reasonable to wonder. What is "good" fuel economy and what is "bad" fuel economy vary from one person to another. We often assume that when someone is asking the question, that they're expecting a higher fuel economy, say 20 mpg. But what if they're expecting 5 mpg? 2 mpg? Suddenly, to tell them it gets 10 mpg results in, "Hey, that's not so bad."

Again, no one expects it to compete with the Prius for fuel economy, but I've seen this question asked a few times in the past, and people always seem to think that the person is hoping it gets this remarkable fuel economy, when really, they simply want to know how many kilometers they can expect from a tank of fuel.
