Thanks for the info. I actualy just replaced my PMD about 2 weeks ago. Made a nice heatsink and everything, but when the resistor came in, (didnt notice that a resistor didnt come with the pmd and harness adaptor) it was for the old style plug, after a bit of filing down the edges of the resistor board we were good to go.

My PMD failure was a bit different then others, thought i would document it incase anyone else is having a similar issue, everything was working fine (no intermitent stalling). One weekend during the summer, i was towing my 2 seadoos up north, had no problem on the way there, didnt even notice the trailer, it was a fun ride, one of my first hwy trips with it, and had about 4 people snap pics as they drove by .

On the way back though (no trailer), about 1/2 way home, (had the cruse on) and noticed i began slowing down going up a hill, i had it set for 95 and slowed down to 80. Wierd i thought, poped off the cruse, and mashed the pedal down, and it downshifted a gear, then i heard the turbo spool up, and bang loads of power!, then after a few minutes it would do the same thing. like the turbo was shutting down. My IAT, and engine temps were all good (water temp was around 91-93, IAT's around 65-75 (as per my scanguage). Later on that week, Thrusday (the hottest day in ontario 47deg) the day i definetly didnt want to drive my hummer in, i had to take a spin down to brampton. Sure enough after about 15 min on the hwy same thing happened. My dad followed me on the way back home, and said i had a good ammount of black smoke blowin out the exhaust when i approached a hill. Plus for a split second on that trip, it felt like the engine cut out for about 1/4 of a second. Had to be 1 of 2 things, a vacum leak for the wastegate, or a faulty PMD. Now the reason i suspected a PMD is because i remember lookin at somewhere on the net a wire diagram pinout for the PMD, and one of the circuts in it controlled the wastegate on the turbo. had to be it.

It would have full power only untill it got up to full operating temps. I had no problem in town, but on the hwy it would kill me. I burnt 2/3 of my reserve tank from toronto to bradford (about 45km) hows that for mpg

Since the new PMD, shes been running great!. I also added some diesel additive, and it made a noticeable difference when starting on a cold morning (we had about 3-4 deg C the past week), and it quiets down much quicker as well.

Those pesky PMD's

Turning old scrap into something useful!. Heatsink was off a old commercial UHF signal booster. A bit of machining, and tapping some threads, and good to go
