Hey Kevin,
So why would you not install a limited slip diff instead of a locking one? Would that not provide the ultimate traction without user intervention?
I'm sure there's a simple answer that will make me look like an idiot but I see there is a GMC model which may fit in an H2.....

Or what about the no-spim diff?

(Don;t embarass me too much with your reply...)

The reason that a limited slip is not my prefered choice is that it is simply a compromise. Limited slip diffs can only reduce the amount of slippage but not eliminate it, not in any way, not even when used with traction control. LSDs are great to enhance a driving experience on-road but while they are better than an open diff off-road they are no where near as good as a selectable locker off-road. A no spin diff while super strong and reliable IS THE WORST THING YOU COULD EVER INSTALL...unless you drive exclusively off-road. The Selectable Locker allows the best of both worlds...perfect higway manners and awesome off-road traction. There are times when you need to unlock your diffs...like for tight manuevers...not going to happen with a no-Spin...but one thing will happen...breakages!!! Just on a side note the E-Lockers or Air Lockers should only be used for an obstacle that requires it...after you got over or thru you should turn it off to minimize wear on the drivetrain. Besides LSDs use clutches which wear fast and as they wear slip gets less and less limited!!! There is the Detroit True Trac which uses gears, I have one in my Suburban, but it still has it's limits! All this to say that while they may look simpler and better they are just a compromise that isn't worth the time and effort of installing them in a vehicle that actually goes off-road!
Hope this helps!!
