And. again, think about just buying one Odyssey battery and you won't need two.

I know the dealer would probably fill you in... which model do you use Norm as there's quite a few on the website?

I bought two Odyssey batteries 34/78-PC1500DT.
Please remember this is for my H1.
The H2 would need a different model.
Find it here.

Re: Dual Battery Set Up In H2
But of an old topic now but thought I'd mention... I was flipping through the parts catalog today and spotted this: http://www.painlessperformance.com/webc ... ield=40102
It's a dual battery wiring kit, and the Painless wiring products are always pretty slick. This would be great if you wanted to run a deep cycle.. or even just a second stocker battery, boost yourself! This is little better solution than running two in parallel. I'm seeing a deep cycle in the trunk, 1000W inverter, 120V air compressor with tank, great setup for all kinds of goodies...

Re: Dual Battery Set Up In H2
Old Topic I know....
I just wanted to re-iterate what Norm was saying regarding the Odyssey Batteries.
My Battery Conked out before Christmas so I put in an Odyssey battery and I couldn't possible be happier. Right now we are in the middle of a deep freeze and me Humma starts up with no hesitation! Working from home I will often not drive for a day or 2 and she still starts without any issue at all!
LOVE THIS BATTERY!!!!
I still may look at a dual battery set-up down he road - but that will only be for the purpose of having a winch thus needing extra power.....

I doubt you will need two batteries.
Remember the Odyssey battery is both a high crank starting battery AND a deep-cycle battery for winching, etc.
Try that with an Optima, etc.

Re: Dual Battery Set Up In H2
Oh I know, a few reasons though...
1. Looking at a 17.5k winch so power needs will be high..
2. Already have a stereo with 2 amps that takes alot.. (I'm trying to stay young)
3. looking at more offroad lighting..
So at the end of the day - want the peace of mine knowing that I will always start if I have the lights on for awhile without the engine running... or listening to the stereo....
but man.... this battery rocks!!! I amazes me each day as before I would get the hesitant rur rur rur before the engine starts due to the battery protesting due to the cold.. I love how she just fires right up now!
Well worth the money!!
