Hey everyone...I have an 05 H2 SUT and there is a clicking noise coming from the front right. Mostly when I turn the wheel hard left, or making right turns, but lately it's been doing it while driving forward. I had it checked out and what they are telling me is that I need to put some washers ( part number 15567836) between the bolts and the crossmember on the front suspension. The main problem is, is that they want $20 per washer, this can't be right!!! Is there a plavce in Canada that I could get these bolts cheaper? Especially since they are telling me I need 8. You could try a source like GMPartsDirect.ca for the washers, they have good prices on OEM part numbers but of course that leaves you waiting a few days while the order is filled and shipped...



One weird thing I have learned shopping the parts counter at GM dealerships... they don't all charge the same prices for parts!! If you called 5 dealerships with that part number you'd probably get 5 different prices from each of them!! For that reason alone it can be worth just making a few calls... I see on the American version of GMPartsDirect (in Canada you have to ask for a price quote due to exchange rate apparently...) cost on that part number is $4.68...... And with the exchange rate above par it could conceivably be less in Canada...



Sounds like you should be able to do better than $20 a pop!! You might always luck out if you went to Napa with the part number and (if the guy working the desk knows what he's doing) probably cross reference the number so some generic brand and cost even less.

Washers???.... I'm no mechanic but I would get a second opinion!



Dealers (Calgary in particular) are incompetent in my opinion when it comes to Hummers. It took me 3 bogus repairs from SHAW GMC here in Calgary to finally wake up and realize that they are morons and have no clue to what they are doing!



Not sure where you live but if in Ontario - call Steve at Master Mechanics, or in Calgary it's Rick at E-Mortal Customs. Just saw the BC postal code...don't know anyone there off hand....



To me it sounds more like a CV joint or wheel bearing...

doesn't sound right.. Send a PM over to Master Mechanic or Polar Bear... this sounds odd...
