almost done my snorkle upgrade

i will post pics when shes all done.

i got a awesome inline air filter system installed

to any of the H1 guys.

what kind of pre filter/cap are you running

i installed a humvee dome cap no pre filter

there is defiantly no way to make this into a kit that's for sure.

you have to cut lots of metal out of there to fit the 4" pipe threw there

or at least the way i did mine

i cut the side out of the hood compartment in stead of having to cut and modify the washer fluid tank, ect.

i also did not cut threw the fire wall at all this way

still just have to do the final touch ups and final install ill post pics when shes all cleaned up

but here is some pics of the work you have to go threw.

in my opinion anyway well worth it.

i also think ill put the stock intake piece off the throttle body back on

i like it has a water catch in there compared to just a straight pipe.

This is what I have on my H1.. no prefilter...

is there any chance of water splashes getting in there?

also is there some sort of water catch system in the h1 ..if it does suck water up

shes 100% DONE

wow what a job that was.

total time almost 18hrs

cost approximately 350$

first actual test drive wasn't really noticeable however my old mileage was 18.8l/100km over my first 30 min. drive it said 16.2l/100km

ill keep posted on the fuel mileage

heres some pics of final install and the inline air filter

feed back is always good?

Look super good,, But I have a question ,,

With all metal you took off , doesn't it affect the structural integrity of the front right fender in case of a crash or bouncing up and down in offroading situation.

I was tempted to do something similar on the H3, I would of love to use the original breather cap and put an extension when ever I wanted to go swim. but in normal use, just keep the breather cap at his normal position.

I may not have choice to get snorkel from ARB

very good question

i cut everything to keep as much strength as possible and yes you defiantly loose strength of the fender

i re supported as much as i could again.

i have no worries about anything moving around offroading

my biggest issue was avoiding to cut in to the firewall
