H2 Fuel Cost

Post by SwaggBoss »

Hey guys. I sold a while ago my H3. Now I am thinking of getting an H2. It would be great if people tell me how much it costs them per week to fill the H2. How much is it to fill up from empty?

There are so many factors that come into play here, is the truck stock or MODed, how heavy is your foot, highway or city, etc...my H2, even with a new engine, is tough on fuel, about 18L/100K but I am running 37" tires, and carrying a lot of weigh, not just my gut, I also have an upgraded intake, exhaust, throttle body spacer, etc, but I have a super heavy roof rack, tire on roof, and underbody armour..plus my gut :-) I remember when my truck was completely stock and I would get around 16L/100 I think but that was long ago...I know guys have tried many different things but I think it will be hard to pin point an exact cost, Serge added propane to his H2 and loves the milage he gets now, so that is an option as well, also Kevin, aka polar bear, has a ton of suggestions..so I think when you own an H2 or any Hummer, the last thing you should worry about is milage, it is gonna not be great, just like any big truck, you can assist and do things to make it a bit better but I think you will always be on the high scale.Just my 2 cents...

That's not bad! My mom currently owns a 2009 BMW X3 3.0i and its 160$ to fill up the tank on premium fuel. I taught it will be around 200$ to fill an H2. Well, I might buy an H2 in a year or two because I am currently a student and I don't have time and money to take care of an H2 right now... Image

My H2 is as close to stock right now as one can be. the trip from Mississauga, Ontario. to Mont Tremblent, Quebec saw a 540Km run on the tank. that was from filling from the red to driving into the red again.

Kinda sucks around town but still worth every penny <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... SMILEY.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':woot:' />

Are you telling me that a full tank on a stock HUMMER H2 from Markham, Ontario to Park-Extension Montreal, Quebec is enough? Image Damn! I taught you need it to refill it minimum 2 times for that distance!

Right now on my Heavily modified H2 that weighs close to 9000lbs, I am averaging 15L/100km...I had a rear caliper that was stuck on and dragging when I made that average...so I should be less than that! And that was during the Hummer Rally, drive back and forth Montreal to Mt. Tremblant everyday!

Citiboy with his 2008 H2, with the 6-speed, commonly runs 10.5L/100km highway and 14L/100km in town!

Just bring it to 2000RPM and cruse control all the way. works out around 105kms ph.

a lot of the gas milage is down to the driver, heavy foot means deeper pockets <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... ght_on.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':right_on:' />

And my H2 runs on water <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... adbang.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':headbang:' /> Sorry, but you might want to manually check your fuel consumption. 15L average with a 9000 lbs rig is borderline to magic <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... rgreen.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> By the way, how did you manage to put on 2600lbs? Are you sure you are using correct Math there?
