Hi Folks



looking for some feedback, I looked at a 2008 H2 that is from the US. It has rust on both sides at the back panel near the fender. There is an approx 5 inch rust spot (both sides) under the gas cap near the fender and the same spot on the passenger side, paint is missing on both rust spots. It looks like it has been touched up. There is also rust spots all over the from skid plate on the front of the truck, the dealer says they can fix the rust issues. Is this normal or signs of other possible issues?



Any ideas?

I had a small spot by the rear marker lite due to water getting in but nothing serious at all... Sanded with a Dremel to the metal and touched up and is fine again... About a centimetre..



That does not sound normal... Eastern state that uses a lot of salt and was never protected... I wouldn't touch...

Doesn't sound normal at all. You see very few H2's with rust, unless they have been scratched a lot (down to the metal) and not fixed. That would concern me a bit.

I have lots of scratches and paint chips and ya not alot of rust at all ...and my truck stays dirty alot and it wont fit in a garage so its always out in the elements year round ...seems odd it has that much rust
