Hey Blake,
Here is the Ultimate when it comes to tie-rod and steering upgrades
http://bulletproofsteering.com/gmpricingoptions.html
However what the heck where you doing to break a tie-rod on a 3??? They are thicker than what us H2 guys have???
Also remember, tie-rods are relatively cheap in comparison to other more expensive and hard to replace steering parts...like the rack and pinion. Remember tie-rods are like steering fuses they are designed to break before something else does and possibly save a costly repair. If you beef these without beefing the parts above it, next time it won't be the tie-rod ends it will be the rack and pinion!!!
Hope this helps!
Kev

Hey, I just found this thread and needed to give some input. I snapped my driver's inner side tie rod this past weekend trying to make a line I had made earlier in the day. I got stupid and kept pushing it until the tie rod snapped and took out the half shaft in the process. I have torsion bar lifted my 3 with a set of 35's on it, a bad combination for the early 3's with 14mm tie rods. The 07 and up trucks have factory 16mm tie rods and seem to be running well with the bigger tires and t-bar crank.
After asking around on the forums, I discovered you can put the 16mm tie rods in our 3's that were built with the 14's. All you need to do is order both inner and outer rods in the 16mm size, and they will fit right in place. I have my truck down right now waiting for an order of 16's to show up as I haven't found anybody with them in stock. I wouldn't waste my cash on another set of 14's, as I know I can already break those! Upgrade your's ASAP if you plan to continue wheeling. Hope this helps----
