Front Bump Stops Touching?

Just wondering if this is normal or not; I putting my side steps back on when I noticed in behind the front wheel there is a yellow bump stop that reaches down and literally touches the wishbone on both sides... my truck wasn't sitting on any crazy angles, normally the bumps stops should be clear, should they not?
Anybody else want to quickly check, just poke your head under the driver or passenger door and you will get a clear view of the bump stop above the wishbone.

You should be seeing about an 1/8" to 1/4" gap there. H3's are designed to just about ride on the bumpstops, so it shouldn't be a concern for you; it keeps your truck from nosediving when you stop. If you have your T-bars cranked, you'll end up with a much larger gap, which results in the nose dive when applying the brakes. Trail Duty sells longer length bumpstops for T-bar cranked trucks in 1/2" (recommended) and 1" (not recommended) lengths. I don't think you have any concerns, unless you did something silly out at Waiporous, in which case we need the rest of the story! <img src='

Thanks for clearing that up for me,
I am used to seeing an inch or more clear to bump stops on other vehicles, I was just suprised to see it there with no clearance at all... I don't think there is even 1/8" clear on mine.

Mine is pretty new as well; only 4K on the ODO
I just checked it out; it is totally sitting on the bump stop, not just touching. I moved it around to see if the light angle of my driveway played any affect, nothing changed.
So basically I was probably correct in my concern, from what I am hearing it shouldn't be sitting against the bump stop?

Hey thanks, I was about to take mine down to the dealer and have them look at it.
I wonder if that is something new for the 09's? Maybe for the very reason you were mentioning, to prevent the front from nose diving when you get on the brakes.
It is still odd to me, most of my vehicles have always had a good 1-2" to the bump stop.
