So... down at Shaw today shooting the poop with one of the techs as he had my Humma plugged in (Funny - tranny wasn't shifting right but they couldn't duplicate the issue so I went down there and what ever plugging in the scan tool did - fixed the problem with the tranny, but now I have a check engine light on for the feul pump.... i swear they program in problems!)
Too many things are computer controlled these days!!!!
Anyways - he was showing me the scan tool and everything that goes in and out of that computer is tracked! The tools shows all the programming codes and each code has a verification number which cannot be duplicated. It will even track how many times the program has been taken out and put back in.... and they are watching. So bye bye warranty if the computer is alterred in any way!
I think I will wait another 30 - 40 thousand kilometers before I get a Diablosport Trinity....
Come to think of it..... best way around is to get a second computer!!! One stock and one tuned!

The only wild card is how long it will take to get the Beta unit, they are working on it now.

They are watching the same way my company watches me on the internet... they log anything and everything but never look at it. <img src='

Lots of people are doing the PCM-tune, not a single person on any of the forums has had thier warranties voided over it so far (although Shaw may be a special breed). I don't really think I will run into any problems if I tweak a few things.

Exactly - I must admit that I have very little faith in Shaw GMC.... never had problems with Warranty issues with my jeep..... they would bend over backwards to make sure I was happy - and if they noticed something and I didn't... they would automatically fix it under warranty!
What a difference to going to shaw whom are the king of cop outs for warranty work. That's why when I needed that new seal on the Diff. - I booked it in and first thing they said was that it may not be covered... So I phoned GM Canada and got the name of the big wig that handles PR for warranties etc whom seemed a little upset that I would have to go to that extreme. She gave me her name and direct number and said if they tried to make me pay - have them give her a call. Of course I warned them upfront and lo-and behold.... it was covered!
And my issue right now.... yes I am very skeptical of them and I think I should be. There was an obvious noise when the gears shifted - my wife hears it plain as day.... I take it in and a day later it shifts perfectly and now a code for the fuel pump?<img src='
http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... #>/huh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='???' /> I really do hate coincidences like that as usually they aren't coincidences at all!

Yeah when I took my truck in for that problem I was having they asked if I needed an oil change... I mentioned I was only down to about 50% oil life and really I didn't need one.... they cut me off mid sentence and insisted I should do it anyway. So instead of giving them the ol "Why the hell do I need an oil change at 50%" speech, I choked it down and agreed to get one with the hopes that by just cooperating they would fully cover my warranty work without question. <img src='

If all goes to plan we should get 2 units shipped out for 100$ a peice to test out in the real world. They might ask us to provide some feedback as part of the deal.
Regular price for these is likely around 300$
