Still Searching For An H3T

I haven't posted here alot, but I do frequent here often. As I posted once before I volunteer for a local search and rescue/fire department, all the guys I work with all run lifted Ford/Dodge diesels, or Cherokees and wranglers. I've been searching for a 3T now for about a year if not longer and have yet to find one that isn't rediculously over-priced or through a dealer who refuses to deal.

I've been trying to deal with Southgate GMC in Edmonton for the third time a few weeks ago and I'm ready to give up on these guys! They have a Tuff Country lifted 3T, black, cloth, sunroof, backup cam, 2009 model, chrome 22"s and 37"s <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... ngHead.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':banghead:' /> . I put an offer on it THE DAY they finished it a year and a half ago, they wanted $60,000 without the Slantback, I offered 4-5g less, of course they refused. I came back on Halloween, they had NO bites after 8 months, still asking $60,000 w/o Slantback, I just started a new job maybe 3 months before and it wasn't enough for them, no big deal told them I'd be back and left. Went back two weeks ago, asked them if they'd had any offers since, I've been only one to ever make a motion to pick this thing up! They've racked up almost 1,800kms on it doing god knows what ;test drives and joy-riding I'm assuming; slapped the Slantback on it and still want $60,000 for it! So I said to heck with it and started to look at the last white 3T they had, 2009 model, white, cloth, sunroof, backup, 3.7, standard trans, slantback, but I really want the 5.3 because I do tow a few toys when I can, those big diesels when they get hung up on the way to a rescue job, can use the extra grunt, and the slantback to store all the extra gear we need/use.

Do I even dare continue pissing around with these guys or do I just get cash in hand and go to the states? Shaw GMC in Calgary is fresh out, and no-one else seems to have one in either black or white like I've been searching for. Do I travel across the country to find one? Go back AGAIN with money down (a fourth time) AND a trade in my truck and over-pay? Or do I just deal with the fact I'm not going to find what I'm after being Hummer's done?

Confused <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... ey-013.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':wtf:' />

You'll have a hard time finding one for sure, they only started production in 2009 and not too many were built. $60k is WAY overpriced though, that's crazy.

There are companies out there that will shop for you in the States, take care of the paper work and get the vehicle across the border for you. I don't know a lot about it but they're out there (Suzuki dealer in Calgary does it, big pre-owned sales department has this service). http://www.southdeerfootsuzuki.com/carfinder/index.htm

These things will never be easy to find, patience will be the key!!

I found this one at Lynch HUMMER in the states and they are asking $37,500 for a low mile H3T Alpha, that seems more in the ballpark than $60k!!!!!!!!!!! http://www.lynchhummer.com/preowned.h2s.html Just scroll down to the bottom of the H3 section to see the listing.

60K is retarded... but then again with such a limited production run it wouldn't surprise me to see them going for that price everywhere pretty quick.

I will sell you my H3T for 60K if you want... I have about 7K into it and it has less than 9K on the odo <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... rgreen.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

It even has a manual 5-speed w/ hill assist... looking at the production numbers there are less than 400 of them equipped with a standard tranny in Canada and the US.

(Worth a try right!)

As much as I like that beefy Lemon Bumper of yours (now that it works) I'm still stuck on an alpha. I know 60grand is WAY too much for this truck, the truck before the lift is about $45,000-48,000, but Southgate is saying they have $14,000 in accessories, B.S! Lift: $2,000-$4,000 installed, Slantback $3,000-$4,000 installed, wheels/tires maybe $2,000-$3,000 depending on their markup. As much as I want one NEW, I'll just have to settle for one used from the states I guess.

I'll own one of these, even if it kills me!

lol, I know... 60K is very unreasonable!

That is too bad they are asking so much for it, last summer they were almost giving them away.

Wow, I thought the US prices would have been a lot less than that <img src='http://www.canadianhummerclub.com/forum ... >/ohmy.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':o' />

Yeah, Prices in the U.S. have actually come up quite a bit over the past year or so - almost on par with Canada now depending on where you go...

Independance Hummer out of the States seems to always have a good stock - stay clear of Eastern Canada though due to the salt...

Did you look at the one in St. Albert?:

haha, I love my truck. I drove it to work today... everybody stares!! I also dig how nobody cuts me off compared to my car, I just kind of go wherever I want and cars move out of the way.
