H3 Suspension Lifts

Just a casual thread on it, I am not looking right away but the second my warranty gets voided I was going to pick on up <img src='

Now just to clarify when I say suspension lift, I don't mean just a torsion bar crank. I mean something really dramatic.
Kev was saying the Rancho 4" Lift is no good, loss of ground clearance in addition to custom fender flares are needed. I was thinking about it more and that makes sense; when you look at the amount of hardware you have to bolt onto the underside and then consider that you are not lifting the tires, rather than the frame all that extra hardware just makes your truck that much closer to the ground.
So the question remains, can you lift the H3 any other way? The only other things I have heard about are the Samco rear shackles and the 1" body lifts.
I think for certain I will be doing a body lift just to give me literally a little more breathing room in deep water.
Is there anything out there for a 4" front lift?

And according to one article I read the Rancho kit might offer
less wheel travel than stock!

According to the article the problem has since been fixed but the vehicle apparently was never re-tested with the fix...

I think that is likely the Rancho lift, the only other company that I can find that makes one is Tuff Country. Rancho is about twice the price and almost the same parts, but they apparently have awesome customer service.
I might try to order specific parts from Tuff Country to knock back the price even more, my truck already has pretty sweet Blisten shocks on it that can be re-used.

I'm thinking there pretty expensive ...I've seen a few of those lifts on a dodge and a GMC pick up and there pretty fancy looking ...the ones I saw had a lot of chrome parts so thinking those guys don't get them that dirty lol
